ROTARY AIR LOCK VALVES are designed to discharge dry solids, granules and powders between part of a system of equal or differential pressure or feeding the material to pneumatic system with minimum of air leakage. It is also used to regulate feed or to discharge material at consistent rate from silo.
RAL Valve consists of rotor and housing. Rotor carries blades and shaft. Shaft rotates in bearings with gland packing stuffing box. Material received at top and, fills the volume between vanes and then discharged at bottom without allowing air leakage at discharge. Drive is given by geared motor and chain and sprocket. Various design of vanes with different constructions of materials for vanes and housing are offered. Rotary air lock valves are available in rotor dia from 100 mm to 450 mm with discharge volume of 0.5 m3/hr to 100 m3/hr.
