Micron Classifier

In modern powder processing industry, it is desirable to have very accurate and reproducible size classification of micron size powders in order to improve functional properties of the materials being produced. Micron air classifier is ideally suited where dry powder separation is of main interest. Micron air classifier is designed to produce fine powders tailored to desired size distribution.
Working Principle
Classifier, together with feed duct cyclone separator, powder duct, pulse jet dust collector (Bag filter) and centrifugal fan and RAL Valves. Forms a system of classification. Under the lashing force of radial fan, feed materials are brought with uprising air stream into classifying cavity from feed inlet of classifier. Under strong centrifugal forces of high-speed rotating classifier wheels coarse and fine materials are separated. Coarse materials, together with some fine materials, lose speed after bumping against wall and fall to secondary draught.

During strong washing of the secondary drought, coarse and fine materials are separated once again. Fine materials go up to classifying cavity to be classified continuously, while coarse materials fall down to discharging outlet and let out.

Advantages
  • Operating particle size range of 1 to 50 microns
  • Excellent sharpness of. Cut Point
  • Precise on-stream control of cut-point by variation of rotor speed
  • Low system resistance
  • Low powder consumption
  • Adjustable secondary air system of optimization of classification efficiency
  • Operates under negative pressure promoting dust-free environment
  • Robust construction and build quality for long service life.
