Hammer Mill

The HAMMER MILL is a size reduction machine used to grind material into the fine powder. Material is fed through wide hopper into the grinding chamber. Here swing hammers revolving at very high speed attached to the rotors, crush the material against the stationery liners before driving them through a screen at the bottom. Size of holes in screen determines the size of crushed particles as well as output.

The suction fan is supplied separately and is connected to the mill outlet with suitable piping to convey the ground material pneumatically to a cyclone for collection of finely ground powder. The fan maintains constant airflow in the mill chamber in order to obtain cool product and thus continuously clears the screen, thus increasing out put.

Construction
The mill is fabricated from required steel and is sturdy. It is reinforced at critical area. The grinding chamber is lined with serrated wear plates, which protect the body from wear and tear. A balanced rotor with swing hammers made of hard material is used for grinding. Bearings are dust protected and are placed away from chamber with easy access. Power is transmitted through motor and set of pulleys. Hopper is provided at top. A half circular heavy-duty screen with selected opening is provided below the hammers determines out put and final fineness.
