| Products of fluid or pasty structure with low to high viscosity and concentration either in solution, suspension or in emulsion, which have sufficient thermal conductivity and can be withstand the effect of temperature at least for a short period of time and if end product required is flake, may be handled continuously and economically with Drum Dryer or Flaker. Wet medium is applied continuously in thin layer of uniform thickness on outer surface of various methods. The liquid evaporates and dried substance is removed from cylinder with scrapper blade before one revolution. Flakes are then collected in chute. |
| Drum |
Single or twin drum are provided in welded design with smooth or grooved with finely machined surface finish. Material of construction is in MS, SS, Hard Chrome plated MS etc. to assure uniform thickness and easy removed of flakes. |
| Feed |
Molten material is applied on drum by means of adjustable deep feed pan with or without jacket an agitating mechanism. Some times sump feed from top in twin drum or spraying of moltenmetal is also adopted. Applicator rolls on upper or lower side can be provided from an immersion trough to applied material on surface and can be operated either in it or opposite direction of cylinder depending upon characteristic of fluid. |
| Knife Control |
Knife blade and holder are mounted on base unit and operated manually with various adjustments for both alignment and pressure to assure through removal of product. Blade is available in MS, SS, Phosphor, Bronze, Copper, and Plastic Gunmetal etc. |
| Advance Cooling/Drying |
Cooling water is sprayed inside or steam is passes through johnson joint or thermic fluid is passes in zig-zag way to assure even drum temperature, maximum heat transfer and close approach of product temperature. |
| Base Frame And Drive |
Single and sturdy base frame includes all mechanism and drive to make machine compact. Drives include motor, gearbox, chain and sprocket, heavy duty bearings etc. |
