CENTRIFUGAL SIFTER is a rotary type screening machine with a box type horizontal structure to separate dry powder in a continuous way. The output from the given screen area is much higher then conventional horizontal oscillating screen. Feed products are introduced in the machine from the one end with the help of screw conveyor. The horizontal blades with slight helical angle are attached to the peddle discs mounted on the shaft at a regular interval. Segmental screens are attached to the polygonal box structure, with both the end are fixed to the two rotating drums with hollow shaft mounted on big bushes. The relative motion between screen and process material is achieved via set of rotating horizontal blades traverse along the whole length. Particles move from one end to other end with the help of blades because of helix angle and material is sieved from screen due to centrifugal force, which is imparted on particles due to rotating blade. Fines pass through this screen and are then collected at bottom chute with another screw conveyor. This conveyor distributes the fines to the number of discharge spouts provided along the whole length. The oversize particles are conveyed to the other end inside the screen and come out from other opening. Type of screen and opening screen decide the rate of production.
Advantages |
Centrifugal force on particles reduces blinding action and also floats the particles in the air causing the reduction in temperature make this machine very useful for the heat sensitive and agricultural products like starch, flour, etc. |
